Yep, that’s also why I do https://x.com/utopiah/status/1857378231755723121 where writing is also code to shape back my environment and myself within it.

Yes https://x.com/utopiah/status/1856977011601740273 but IMHO having enough understanding to estimate what’s actually feasible helps too.

That’s rage bait right? Have you crawled with your mouth covered to avoid Jeff? For that moment alone it’s literally not the same game “flat” vs VR.

IMHO it’s rational because you might know the first article you’ll read but the second and beyond will be influenced by the first so even if you don’t read 99% but can select the 1% that then matters, it’s worth it!

More screens… still no volume, still uninteresting IMHO.🤷♂️
FWIW you can already use @fdroidorg with quite a few “flat” apps right there on the headset, no additional computer needed. Just earlier today I had VLC side by side with 2 browser tabs.
Also Windows🔒, nope🛑🫷. https://x.com/tomwarren/status/1858880232658288672

I’ve argued that generative AI isn’t allowing an “objective” exploration of the latent space : genAI has a bias, by design, to popular content.
This though also constrains not just to a smaller latent space, but a particular one : space without artwork by AI conscious artists. https://x.com/Melissahei/status/1856733387450429581

@mrmaxm any problem “waking up” the MX Pen? I press on the Meta button for 30s and still nothing. I feel like I only manage by plugging it to USB then starting it.

Ideally it would be very gradual, possibly using some grouping, e.g stations on the same topic would be closer together.
One should think about this like level design in games than writing tutorial as a flat documentation really.

> 1hr to render on dual A600s
Not a business advice but I bet there is a real opportunity here in terms of relying on the (sigh) “scraps” of the AI industry.
As H100 or B200 are the more sought after, the “old” ones become available at huge discount so… cheap rendering times?

What makes this interesting specifically here is that, obviously, the content (namely your files) remains the same, the way to interact with them too, yet the view is radically different.

Which… is actually really cool because it clearly showcases the benefits of both IMHO :
go with full VR when you are traveling or need the “mental space”.
Stick to “just” AR if you are in place, like your actual desk, where you prefer to interact still with the physical world.(original)

While reading “Prefab and Modular” I was reminded of this work (thanks to yet another quality pointer from @adamwern) thus had to start Blender to build📐 “stations”.
Could use teleportation, via .e.g https://x.com/utopiah/status/1795427713479807425 and bind station with own .layout.json of its content. https://x.com/CobraCodeDev/status/1856366906439282707
