PS: I have nothing specific against Grok (even though IMHO most of my AI limitations do apply, cf https://fabien.benetou.fr/Analysis/AgainstPoorArtificialIntelligencePractices ) but I certainly do NOT want bundling!
I’m here for a “social network”, sharing ideas, etc. I don’t want to be coerced into another product.

Not THE most elegant way but… using @ublockorigin “Block element” feature (just a right click away) I was able to hide all the @Grok force-fed AI on X/Twitter in minutes!
Thanks to this kind of extensions, the Web remains “my” experience, not dictated by others.

Honestly if I were an OpenAI founder, or early research scientist, I’d feel I’d be using dirty money. The entire point of joining was for the betterment of humanity. Then closing down research, exclusivity partnership, etc. It went 180 on the dream.

Ironically enough if I were to single out the player who did the most to confuse that boundary it would be…
OpenAI, which started as the former and is clearly ending as the latter.
They muddied the water for profit.

Research in CS and AI is genuinely exciting. The commercialization of it powered by lies is not.

- keep the “best” one and repeat

When you think about 3D printing you probably only consider rigid objects.
Here 3D printing a flexible strap for @thePine64 PineBuds inspired by https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PineBuds_Pro/Straps
The trick, make your model very VERY thin. Here this is a single layer print.

Yes it’s ridiculous BUT if it’s :
- open source
- for good, e.g public research, medical, teaching
- can lead to much bigger project
- you aren’t busy
… why not? Yet honestly, my experience is that cheap projects are draining as they usually lack professionalism.
